ROME, Italy — Reports said Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles urged Catholics to pay tribute to the proponents of the “Christian vision”. In his pursuit for a new evangelization, he also recognized the contribution of Spanish missionaries who brought and introduced Christianity in America.
