LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Published report states that parishioners are practicing new readings at the sanctuary of St. Barnabas Church in Louisville on a recent weekday morning, in preparation for the biggest and most controversial revision of Roman Catholic liturgy in decades.

Part of an effort in progress for months in archdioceses throughout the country, the class is in preparation for a revised text of the Mass that will take effect on the first Sunday of the liturgical season of Advent and of the church year which will be on Nov. 27.
